We provide project management to secure the successful delivery of complex projects around the world

A short note to thank you sincerely for your significant contribution to the refurbishment of the Lyric Theatre in preparation for its opening in April. For numerous reasons (many better known to yourself) this was an ‘Everest-type’ challenge. Thanks to your professionalism, diligence, transparency and hard work you alleviated any concerns or anxiety I may have had. I appreciate that this may not have been the case for you!

Lyric Theatre - Renovation

Gary Beestone took on the Project Director role for the Ambassador Theatre Group’s ambitious transformation of Broadway’s Lyric Theatre. The challenge, was to create an intimate and technically advanced stunning new home for the acclaimed production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Gary took responsibility for every aspect and detail of the renovation project including managing the design team and delivery of the main auditorium, foyer and retail areas, replacement of the Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning systems, restoration of the historic facades and the installation of large scale landmark production signage on 43rd Street.

Key to the success of this project, was working with and challenging the consultants, architects, engineers and contractors, to deliver exactly what was needed on a tight schedule with a hard deadline. Key to the success was developing a permit strategy which would integrate into the projects challenging schedule and around the rehearsals of the new production so as not disappoint the tens of thousands of people who had booked tickets for the opening weeks! The project required strong leadership with instant informed decision making to keep it on track. The Lyric Theatre opened fully complete with permits, on schedule and on budget, ready for the production.

Alexandra Palace - East Court Renovation

Alexandra Palace and Park, recently sought our expert project management advice, to support the delivery of a historic theatre renovation and to provide planning and logistical support to the opening of the East Court; an exciting multiple use new space.

For the main theatre renovation, we provided our project and technical expertise to the client, commercial team and project design and construction teams, to ensure the decisions and choices made during the final phases of the project were suitable for the long-term future and viability of the venue. We also provided advice and support including running workshops with the in house team on delivering a high profile, time sensitive project.

For the East Court, we worked with the construction, commercial, events, operations and facilities teams, to support on the co-ordination of the space as it transitioned from renovation to opening. The exciting new East Court proposition, includes an interpretation area and learning and education zone and as well as supporting the theatre and ice rink operations, is a beautiful and fully functional event space in its own right.

Thank You So Much! Working with you has been such a pleasure and your sound advice and insights have been much appreciated. I’m confident that without your input we would have all had far higher blood pressures in the circumstances.
